Lucid Film Productions’ Arts and Entertainment Festival
On Sunday September 14, 2008 Lucid Films presents our first summer Arts and Entertainment Festival. A showcasing of the talents of local, national, and international artists and artisans, this daylong event will be held at City Hall Plaza, Boston. Featuring an open-air main stage, there will be performances by vocalists, musicians, local bands, dancers, and select ensembles from The School of Groove.
Lucid hopes to bring together members of the film and arts fraternities of North America, giving artists the chance to connect, and share their work with the city of Boston.
The highlight of the event is a one-day film festival and awards show, with film screenings of competing applicants from around the world. Lucid will also offer free crash courses and interactive workshops in film camera operation, film production, direction, and set management. There will also be a “casting call” photo shoot, giving festival-goers the chance to have their own headshots taken, and simulating real film world experiences.
Located in the heart of government center, bordering Boston’s premier tourist spot, the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, this event is open to the public, and free of charge. Visitors may enjoy an assortment of arts and craft related booths and vendors. City Hall Plaza is accessible to all forms of public transport, with several other dining and shopping experiences located nearby.
